Germany

Going to Europe was something I never thought I would do. When Tim Deployed to Germany I knew this would be my only chance since the C-130 base when to J-models (no Navs on Js). My Mom was going to come out and watch the kids for two weeks but offered me a better deal of flying out to California and dropping the kids off. This way everyone would get to visit with the kids and my Mom would have more help.

I know this has taken me a long time to get this out so I'm just going to give the quick run down of my trip.

Paris- three days- we loved the sights not a big fan of the city- we liked the hotel room- we got museamed out after all of them- Versailles was amazing-food was good- I could read the menus very well- we did all the major sites.

Bath house- was my favorite- I loved being naked-it had 6 different saunas, 3 steam rooms, different temp water and showers, an indoor-outdoor pool, rooms to sleep in, outdoor sun bathing area-German women have big breasts

Brussels- was fun- we mostly walked around to parks- we did have Belgium beer, waffles and chocolate (it was on the waffles that counts right?)

Amsterdam- I was afraid to go, I didn't know what to expect but I had the best time-The city was clean and friendly and smelled like pot!- the Red light district was quite a sight.

Germany- I wish I would have went to more places- We went to a couple castles- ate German food it was very hard reading the menus- it was very pretty-I want to live there.

I know this was the shortest blog about two weeks in Europe but I wanted to get it out so I could get other stuff out. Tim has posted all our pictures on facebook so check them out. Let me know if you really want to know more!

Yard of the Month

New official "yard of the month" sign. Too bad I didn't have it three months ago.

In the beginning of June when they were judging the yards for the first winners of yard of the month, I had thought I won because I had gotten a letter saying " your hard work on your yard is much appreciated" or something like that and no one else had gotten a letter. But as the month went by and I didn't get any word about winning I figured it went to someone else. I was pretty bummed because I knew June, with my hydrangeas in full bloom, was my only shot at winning. So I was very surprised to come home after my DC trip and find a yard of the month sign in my yard. That's right I won the "Pope yard of the month" that's put on by the Military housing. And don't you love my sign. My dear friend made it for me because I was out of town when it was announced and I still haven't gotten the real sign. I won it for the month of June when my hydrangeas had just bloomed, my pansies were big and beautiful and my crate myrtle was full of blossoms.

Now the hydrangeas have since browned from heat, my pansies have mostly died and the crate myrtle blossoms have been blown away by storms past. The money I won ( and yet to have received) I've spend on two flats of purple, yellow and pink petunias and a climbing vine. I had to spruce up my yard since it was announced in the neighborhood news letter. I can't have people driving by saying "how the hell did this piece of trash yard win?" I posted pictures of when we first moved here to now. After three years of trying to grow grass we finally have some. Speaking of grass, I don't know how I won with my patchy grass.

Bolling AFB, Washington DC

We had so much fun hanging out with friends and watching the National fireworks over the Patomic river. We visited the National Zoo, this makes five zoos in five (six if you count when we were in Texas and I was pregnant) different states for Audric and four for Julie. Audric loves the airport acrossed the river. He could stay there all day just watching the planes and boats go by.

How much Pee can a pretty boy pee?

We drove six and a half hours to Washington DC, staying with friends for the fourth of July. We stopped once to eat and then the kids took a nap. So I'm about an half hour away from our friends house when Audric wakes up. He's got to go pee really, really bad. Of course he has to wake up while we are in traffic going five to ten miles per hour, with construction so there's no shoulder and no exits because we're about to go over a bridge. I give him two options. pee in a diaper or pee in a cup. He was not having the diaper so with him whining the whole time because he has to go pee so bad, I had him unbuckle his belt, I had to pull down his shorts and hold the cup all while driving. I thought for sure the cup was going to over flow it was so heavy. OK we did it, now to get Audric dressed and back in his seat. I had to pull up his shorts (why did I put him in these tighter shorts that day) snap them, and have him climb in his seat. Audric is a lazy boy. He always says he can't do something before he trys. And this is exactly what he said when I told him to buckle his belt. So still driving I some how (after three or four trys) get him in safe. What a relief.
Of course on the way back home he had to pee on himself in the public bathroom because he didn't tuck himself while sitting down to pee. That was an easy fix, but still, really?
*the cup in the picture was the same kind of cup but not the one he peed in.

Matching Boots

My kids are such Goof-balls. They had to match, wearing their boots at the same time. It's just so fun to share videos this way.

Monster or Little Girl?

I have always called Julianna my "little Monster", but now I'm going to let you decided if it's just a cute nickname or if she truly a Monster.

  • She likes to hug and feed her baby dolls.
  • In a fit of rage she throws her baby dolls a crossed the room and screams.
  • She lets me brush, braid, and put her hair in pig-tails.
  • When she doesn't get what she wants she pulls my hair out in chucks.
  • She lovingly hold my face and smiles.
  • She slaps my face repetitively when she's mad.
  • Julie loves her brother and shares her toys
  • Julie will scream bloody murder if Audric even looks at her toys.
  • When she wakes up in the morning she comes quietly in my bed and snuggles.
  • When she wakes up in the morning she colors on my white chair, pulls off her diaper filled with poop and puts it on the floor, eats and spits out nine large jelly beans all over the house...
  • Julie has always been a good eater.
  • She also likes to stick food up her nose.
  • She listens and follows me out the door when asked.
  • She throws herself to the ground, legs flailing, when she doesn't want to go some where.
  • Julie gives Audric loving pats on the back from time to time.
  • Other times she slaps him while laying on top of him.

I'm sure I could go on and on about Julie's spilt personality. But the important part is that I'm so happy and in love with her when she's being a Good Girl that I can handle her being a monster every now and again.

*All these thing come from true events. However horrible they may be, they don't happen all the time.

Growing up

I cut Audric's hair today and it makes him look so old. He read the first four pages of "HOP ON POP" all by himself last night. I kept thinking to myself "is he really reading this, can he already be old enough". It just blows my mind. And Julianna is picking up on letter really fast. Ever since Tim left she has been say new words all the time and now she points out letter off of everything. She doesn't always get them 100% right but she's pretty good.
Where did my babies go.
